Ok I guess this is going to be a long posting because I have not posted forever, sorry about that, but I guess sometimes life just passes you bye!
I will start off with Brandon’s birthday way back in January. I am so thankful he took a day off for his birthday (he is such a hard worker and he needed a day off). We spent the day swimming at Lehi’s Legacy Center (an indoor swimming pool, almost like a mini water-park for Jaymz). We had so much fun as a family and Jaymz was so excited to spend all day with his Papa. Jaymz was having so much fun he didn’t want to get out of the pool even though by the end all he would do was lay his little head on our shoulders and watch the other kids play. After leaving the pool I asked Brandon if he wanted to get some ice-cream; I think we all know the answer to this one: “of course,” but we ended up going to a frozen yogurt place instead because it was closer and Jaymz was crashing in the car (I think it was better than ice-cream). Later that night we went to dinner and then to the Flash game (Utah’s NBA Development League Team). It ended up being a long day but we kept it going with cake and gifts once we got home, we were so tired once we got into bed! It was a busy and exhausting day, but the best part of it all was seeing the smile on my love’s face all day long!

We also went to dinner with my cousin, Stacy and her husband, Justin on Saturday to celebrate Brandon’s birthday! My lovely aunt Lynda watched our kids, Maddi and Jaymz, for us it was so nice not to have to worry about Jaymz. Although I did worry a little bit if he would fuss for her because I was gone the night before to a wedding, he showed me that he is growing up because he was fine without any issues, he played, watched movies, and ate great! Us couples went to Pat’s, a local BBQ place in Salt Lake City, it was good food and great conversation I am so thankful to have family to spend time with, it was a wonderful evening.
Valentines is my favorite holiday because it is all about love! We had a fun little Valentines party/play date with Stacy and Maddi which was so fun to plan and execute! We made sugar cookies, Valentines poppers, and Valentines to hand out! I think the pictures can show you how much fun we had more than I can tell you.

We have officially started to ween Jaymz off his pacifier and he has done pretty good, we have been snipping it little by little for the past few weeks. This week has been the hardest because it barely fits in his mouth but I think he has been doing a great job! Jaymz also has been showing more interest in the potty and we have gradually started to potty train, he seems to be excited and we hope that the excitement will continue so we can be out of diapers sooner than later! He is getting bigger and smarter everyday and I love being his mommy more than anything in the world! In some ways I want him to stay little and cute forever but I also want to see what he will become, I guess only time will tell and I need to enjoy every moment we have together now so I can cherish the memories.

I cannot believe it is already 2010, what about partying like it is 1999?
A lot has changed this past year especially my little Jaymz from crawling to walking, jabbering to talking and Colorado to Utah. We have had a pretty good year and hope for a better one next (every year should get better and better right)?!? Here are some of our memories of the year:
Jaymz had his surgery last January to remove his sixth toe, all went great and you now cannot even tell that he ever had an extra except that his foot is a little on the wide side.
We moved to Utah to be with our families at the beginning of August and have been very busy here ever since. We love our family, but miss our friends back in Denver a whole lot and hope to make a trip out there soon!
Jaymz is a rambunctious toddler running around and getting into whatever he can with his new found independence! I love how he is able to tell us what he wants. I love just sitting there watching him play with all of his attention on whatever it may be. He is such a delight to be around and I love having him as my everyday all day buddy!

We have had some great holiday fun so far this year, we went to my Grandparent’s house for Thanksgiving and stuffed ourselves! We have gone to see the Christmas lights at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, had Gingerbread Day at my grandma’s, and have played in the snow here at home. This holiday season has been a busy but fun one so far and we cannot wait for more fun to come!

Jaymz went pee pee on the potty for the 1st time today! Hooray for my little or should I say my big boy! So here is the story: Jaymz woke up from his nap pointing at his diaper so I asked him if he needed to go potty and he nodded his head yes so I got him up, we put the pacifier away, and turned off the humidifier and went out of his room. I asked him where he wanted to go and he pointed at the bathroom so we went in and then I asked what he wanted to do in there and he pointed at the big potty (not his little potty I might add) so I got out our little potty ring and sat him on it. We sat there for about ten minutes singing songs and blowing bubbles when he looked down and started to pee. I waited til he was finished to call Brandon and that was it Jaymz went potty on the potty for the 1st time! I am so happy for him because I have not even tried to put him on the potty since he was sick in October and we had tried the little potty before, but I guess watching daddy do it did the trick and he wanted to try it out! Hopefully it will last and my little boy has started to potty train himself, I highly doubt this but at least I can wish, right? Lets just cross our fingers!

I celebrated my birthday over the weekend which also spilled into this week because I share a birthday with my younger brother Caelan and he wanted to have a party with us there and now that we are home it seams like everyone wants us to have dinner with them! We love it and hope it stays that way; because we love to be with our family, isn’t that the whole reason why we moved back?

The last few months I have been realizing that I am not that young 21 year old girl anymore and that I associate with the older young people now. I not saying I am old, but I am saying my priorities have slowly changed and I see that the people I associate with have started to change as well, to people who have the same priorities as I do. I really do not know if this is because I am a mom now and Jaymz and his daddy (Brandon) are the most important people to me or if it is just me getting older; personally I think it is a little of both and this birthday has made me think about it a little more.

I really have not been up to doing much of anything lately so I am sorry for not posting sooner, anyways here are a bunch of pictures from Halloween (again just click on the images for a larger view).
We went to the Hoogle Zoo for Boo at the Zoo the week before Halloween; can I just say I really miss the Denver Zoo and I was really wishing we could have done Boo at the Zoo there this year; although we did have lots of fun, I just miss the environment of that zoo!

We had a great time at Jenny and Shilo’s carving the Pumpkins we got from the pumpkin patch. Jaymz was not sure about putting his hand in the pumpkin, but with some encouragement he ended doing it and feeling the pumpkin guts! He also loved taking the top of the pumpkin on and off.

We were a family of sock monkey’s this year, I loved the costume Jaymz wore and he kept the hood on the entire night so he must have liked it too! We joined Jenny and Shilo again at their church house for trunk or treating then went around to my family members to show off our adorable Jaymz!

We have been very busy with trips, play dates, and just being with family since moving back here to Utah! We have been so busy having too much fun I have been forgetting to post all the activities we have done! At the beginning of August the move went great went great, we have slowly been unpacking and have been trying to get settled, Jaymz loves all the space to run around in, the grassy backyard to play on, and the animals to play with!
We took a quick trip to St. George to clear out the house down there because it finally sold! It was bitter sweet because we would love to visit down there this winter but it takes a big financial burden off the entire family!
Jaymz and I were able to have a play date with my aunt Linda, my cousin Stacy and her darling daughter Maddi. Jaymz had so much fun going on the carousel for the 1st time and playing hard on the slides, he fell asleep as soon as we got into the car to drive home! We have also had a lot of play dates and a few sleepovers with my younger siblings. Once a week (sometimes twice) I watch a little boy that is about six months younger than Jaymz, we love this day because we just stay home and play all day long! Jaymz is so social, he loves other children; it is a joy to watch him share his toys and play with others.
More activities we have done:
We have gone on a few family bike rides up the canyon which have been very fun!

We went to a Bees game, Deanna drove Jaymz in the car while Brandon and I got to have a good bike ride!

Of course we went to the State Fair!

I have been cooking a lot, I make dinner for everyone about four nights a week! I made homemade ice-cream custard and Jaymz absolutely loved it, too bad my ice-cream maker broke so it will be a while until we have some more homemade ice-cream!

Jaymz has gotten four more teeth since being out here to make a total of six; he now has two front top and bottom teeth with two top molars in the back! It is so exciting to watch him grow and change! In August we took a parent/toddler swimming class, Jaymz was not sure at first but by the end of the class he was having so much fun in the water. We now have to keep the deadbolts locked on the doors at all times because he knows how to open the door, get out and run down the street! He is getting so big and independent, I think we have started the terrible twos early because of how independent he is! Brandon and I also took the rail off of Jaymz’s crib to make it into a toddler bed and he loves it! I have loved every stage of watching him grow so far and hope that it just keeps getting better.

We have been extremely busy around here because we have some big changes happening in our family! Over Independence day weekend Brandon and I decided it was time to move back to Utah to be closer to our families! This move has come up fast and we will miss all of our friends we have made here but thanks to the internet we can all stay in touch. We decided not to sell our house but rent it out because of the market right now, it is just better for us and also we will be coming back to check up on it every so often so we can visit everyone then too. We will be back in our home town of Lindon with Brandon’s mom and will help her out with whatever is needed. We are planning on being in Utah by the first of August and hope to see our family and friends soon after that!
It is late but it is here our Independence Day:
I absolutely love our country and the freedoms we have. I also love Independence Day just as much so we can show our appriciation for everyone who came before us to pave the way for all that we have. I know it is just celebrating but if you think of what this country has gone through in it short amount of time we are an amazing nation! Here is what we did for the wonderful Holiday: my sister Alicia came for the long weekend, we got rained out at Water World, ate breakfast with our ward, and we went to Breckenridge for lots of celebrating!
