To my love,
I just wanted to tell you a few reasons that come to mind at this moment of how I love you so much:
- you are always there when I need you
- you listen to my rants
- you change diapers
- you play with the boys
- you work hard for our family
- you help clean our home
- you are sensitive
- you love me on my worst days
- you are just plain you!
Thank you for 8 years of ups and downs to get us where we are today…
Happy Anniversary!!!
Love Your Emms!

You know you are a mommy when you have a mommy messy moment such as this:

Poor Jaymz must have ate something that made his stool super watery! I have to admit I did not think there was anything positive about it at the time and I actually took the picture so I could text Brandon to show him how my day was going (not a good one), but I do have to say I love my little guy even if I have to clean up messes like this. Plus it wasn’t his fault this happened to him…I am sorry buddy!
These mommy messy moments are when I realize I am a mom and I love my boys more than I could ever imagine because I would not clean a mess up like this for anyone else!
I hope you all have a Happy Mother’s Day and do not have any mommy messy moments this weekend.

We are getting ready for our little or I mean BIG Jaymz to turn 4! He asked for an Angry Birds Birthday Party so that is what we are giving him! I have been searching around for a few months now for some fun and inexpensive decorations and activities which I have found and now I am super excited to give my little man a fun party!
Here is the only sneak peak you will get until I post pictures from the day of the party!
This is the 1st invitation I did not design myself but I did come up with the wording! I got the image from searching Angry Birds Invitations on Google and I found this image then I just copied the image, adjusted a few things and changed up the wording.
As I finish up the preparations for this party, I cannot wait to watch the excitement in Jaymz…wish us luck that all will go well!

I found this wonderful Whole Wheat Bread Recipe on Pinterest a while back and I love it!
I have tried many yeast bread recipes and have failed at many. I have tried so many times Brandon has gotten sick of eating my rock hard rolls or bread. My bread has always been too dense to be edible but times have changed and I am happy to say I can actually bake a yeast bread with this recipe and my boys love it!
I have tried this recipe quite a few times now and it has turned out pretty much perfect every time with the exception of it falling a few times (I may have bumped the pan as I put it in the oven). I am happy to say we will be having more delicious homemade bread without all that extra crap that is put into store bought bread and save money in the process!
If you want to try this recipe out I would highly suggest it! I also have done a few things differently so here are my differences and you can decide if you want to do it my way or her way!
- I half the recipe because I only have one loaf pan. I make one loaf of bread and divide the rest of the dough into round balls for rolls (I get between 6-8 usually). The rolls only take about 20-25 minutes instead of the 30 for the loaf of bread.
- I do not have a wheat grinder so I use store bought whole wheat flour. She is right about not having to use as much flour but it is all to the eye so I could not tell you the exact amount of flour I use, but I do think it is between 4-5 Cups for the halved recipe.
- I have only used rolled oats instead of the ground flax because that is what I have had on hand, but I did purchase some ground flax the last time I was at the grocery store and will be trying it soon!
I really hope you get the inspiration to bake some homemade whole wheat bread because this is a great recipe and I love it!

A mom of a girl at Jaymz’s preschool is a photographer with Estrella Photography and she offered to take pictures of the class for free. She did a good job capturing the kids; I am so excited to have pictures of his first preschool year!

Jaymz is in an awkward stage of completely cheesing it in pictures so I told him to relax his mouth for the pictures and unfortunately you can totally tell that he is thinking about what I had told him instead of being himself. Life lesson for me, don’t tell your kids how to look in pictures and just let them be themselves! Anyways, what do you think of them?

I know you all are going to think we are crazy when I tell you we vacuumed our yard but it was definitely needed!
I really cannot tell you how disappointed I am with how our yard was left from our renters, we had gotten notices from the city on a couple of occasions that there were vehicles in the yard, and now we have the clean up from them. At least we did not have to remove them from the property, but there was a lot of glass in the yard.
Since there was so much glass and we did not want to sift through the entire yard, we decided to vacuum it up instead. It took Brandon a few days but he managed, with a little help from Jaymz, to get most of the glass cleaned up!
Now we just need to get the seed down so the grass can start growing again!

I feel like I am a little behind on things, not only here on our blog but in everyday life as well.
I cannot seem to keep my home clean! I am always tired and cannot seem to catch up on my sleep. I cannot get any sewing or craft projects done. I just feel like everything I do is not completed or not even started! I hope this will go away soon, because I hate the feeling of not being able to complete projects or do what I want to do!
I have had updates this past week or so and I know I am still way behind, but I wanted to let you all know I am trying to get caught up and this is not the only thing I am behind on.
I am slowly playing catch up so hopefully things will feel normal soon!

For the last while Jaymz’s favorite book is an old classic…Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson.
So back at the end of February Jaymz decided to go on an adventure like Harold does but with a marker instead because markers are more fun! He pretty much told the entire story as he drew his picture. It is such a fun book with such an awesome kid…I love how he loves books & stories, especially cute classics like this one!

1st I am answering the who is who post. Kalvyn is in the grey with the lime green elephant and Jaymz is in the white with the music items all over it…good job and thanks for playing!

Here are our maternity pictures taken by Jen Bosma Photography here in Denver. I am finally posting them since they were lost in the mail before Kalvyn was born and I have been busy trying to get used to life with two boys since he has been born! I am 37 weeks in them and I really like them except for two things: Jaymz was having an off day so there are very few pics of him looking as cute as he normally is, and I also thought our clothing coordinated better than it did. Don’t get me wrong the white shirts look great, it is just the change of clothing I am not to pleased with…not that they are bad, I just wish they would have coordinated better than they did. I guess that is what you get when you only have a limited number of clothes to pick from because you cannot fit into anything! Anyways, I want to know what you think?
*Sorry for the overload of pictures but I had a hard time choosing my favorites, and it is after all a post all about pictures!

I have to just put it out there that I have an awesome husband…he is the best you can get!
My husband has been an amazing help since giving birth to Kalvyn. Here are just a few examples of how awesome he is:
- Helped me through another all natural birth
- Messaged our friends and family and took everyone’s calls and text so I could rest
- Took Jaymz to a birthday party the day I gave birth so I could just rest with Kalvyn at the hospital
- Has picked up doing extra chores around the house
- Adores being a father of two boys!
- Has been getting our backyard ready for seed so the boys have a place to play
- Runs to the store when I need something
- Has taken Jaymz on boys only days…which Jaymz loves and I think has helped with his adjusting to the new baby!
- Gets up with me when I need him through the night
- Helps with burping and diaper changing, pretty much anything he can do he will do
- Deals with my mood changes wonderfully
- And the BEST thing of all, he will purchase my feminine products I need right now, but not only purchase them but he returned them when I changed my mind about the ones he bought!
I told you I have the best husband ever…I also think my boys have the best Daddy/Papa/Father there is! I love you Brandon and thank you for all that you do, you amaze me everyday!
